My logic that staying on your bike is an essential part of cycling doesn't make any sense?
Staying on your bike is important. Thats obvious to everyone.

Does he have a reputation for crashing a lot? Would you say the same in a thread made for Liege? He just so happened to crash in Flanders, and thats bad luck, but it doesnt make any sense to hold him accountable for that when talking about his chances in the race.

For every race that Quickstep does not win, Patrick Lafavere will come in a even bigger car, and park it even closer to the road.
PS: Bottom pic is from the Dwars door Vlaanderen yesterday.

I probably rate results higher compared to performances when assessing riders' abilities than most other users here because in the end that's all that matters. And no, he has two second places and four top fives in Liege so I don't see how that is even comparable to Flanders.

Emil Axelgaard has Pogacar as the main favourite for the race. Huh. And Pidcock above Van der Poel "who with his performance Wednesday confirmed that he is not that close to his best level".

He must have watched a different race than me.
He is partially right as a full on MVDP would have brutalised the field and gone solo. A very good but not premium version had to pay attention to tactics as well.

Yeah he was really good but you can’t tell me you think that was the same level of power and performance as his Amstel Gold or Strade Bianchi winning rides.

I'm not sure we had enough difficulties in wednesday's race to see that kind of performances. Not enough cobbles or long enough steep climbs to make significant differences to go solo from far, I think.

And in the harder climb, where Ineos made the selection, he even was out of position and had to go from one group to the other alone, so no chance to make any difference there due to poor positioning.

Emil Axelgaard has lost it. Its VDP, Pidcock/Pogacar and then Asgreen. Van Aert ahead of everyone if not sick.

How can you even Pogacar and Pidcock ahead of VDP in this race? I get the preparation isnt optimal, but I think he saw something else than we did on wednesday. He has done it before, he has the sprint and he is improving each and every day just based on him being VDP.
