Well, they look quite empty. The big question is what on earth Sky are doing.robin440 said:what is wrong with lotto nl? lettting canc and sag come back
You forget about the Ukrainian powerhouse up frontDFA123 said:There are definitely four there - and they've sent one to the front. Good decision.JRanton said:DFA123 said:Pretty poor stuff from Sky. Four riders in the lead group - should be using at least two of them at the front now, because they won't be much use if Canc, Sagan, Stybar, Terpstra, Kristoff etc... all get back on. This break is their chance for a win; they should go all in for it now.
They only have Moscon to use. Puccio is ahead in the break.
This is the crucial phase in the race. If the front peloton can maintain 45+ seconds while Canc and Sagan use up all their team-mates it should be decisive.
It's almost like Sky and Lotto don't want to win the race. They may well need Martin's power later to stay clear; crazy not to use up some of their lightweight doms now, who won't last the distance anyway.42x16ss said:Come on guys, help Tony out!
A crash split the peloton before Arenberg and Fabian/Sagan was caught behind a group of Etixx/Lotto riders including Vanmarcke and Boonen. They have been chasing since thenILovecycling said:I had to go away at 13.00 cet, can anybody give me what hte heck happened?
So many groups!!!
It's not that simple though. 30 seconds is a pretty huge gap to close anyway. The minute they attack, Sky and Lotto DS will be on the radio, telling their doms to immediately push hard at the front. It's not like closing down a group of favourites, none of whom want to take a pull.Cance > TheRest said:You forget about the Ukrainian powerhouse up frontDFA123 said:There are definitely four there - and they've sent one to the front. Whatever happens, Sagz/Fabian simply aren't good enough if they cannot bridge a 30 second gap on a group of 2nd tier riders up front. And ofcourse they can
They don't want to sprint against Boonen but they haven't stopped to consider that there's still riders up the roadDFA123 said:It's almost like Sky and Lotto don't want to win the race.
