How many races until Bruiser makes headlines?
I will say Wednesday night at Bathurst round one of the criterium series...Cant wait to see Brownie and Renshaw headbutting their way to victory.

Matthijs said:Freire no topsprinter? why did he win MSR 3 times? Tireno-Adriatico is also a sprint-fest: most MSR contenders ride this race with around 3 sprint-stages usually

woodie said:Renshaw won't be there, he's at a team camp in America until the 16th. The women start at 6:15 and the men start at 7:00. There is also heavy rain forcast for wednesday afternoon. That'll make it interesting with one of the corners. I might try to get a picture up of it.
It'll be an awesome race nonetheless.

Thats a review of the course from a couple of our riders. Check out turn three, it goes from being flat to going onto a sudden rise, its gunna be hectic if anyone goes through the wrong line.

These people should try cycling. The early season is an almighty high, but the severity of the low is present on this thread for all to see.
People on here are looking forward to the Tour Down Under,The Tour down under
, even though it’s a month and a half away.
For shame.
Kwibus said:This is obviously because of the low I'm in right now.
Looking forward to a boring snoozefest with nice bunchsprints. To me it's just the start of the season which I can't wait for.
I won't be watching the TDU live, but I will certainly watch any vid of the last km if they come online.
Since 2007 I have not reffered to him as a pure bunch sprinter. Winning MSR 3 times requires great staying power and that's what he has and that is what has got him over the line in those sprints because he is the freshest of the field that can sprint.Matthijs said:Freire no topsprinter? why did he win MSR 3 times? El Imbatido said:I don't know if they are showing any of it live. I know there was talk of it because of the growth of the event but i haven't heard anything since. I think the only stages they showed live of the 2010 event was the Cancer council classic and the final stage.
TeamSkyFans said:Not really. five days of highlights having to listen to phil and paul spouting nonsense, and then staying up till silly o clock two nights in a row to watch a snooze fest.
NSW GP Crit series next weekend anyway, meant to be highlights of the first three and live coverage of the last two.
I hadnt forgotten, in fact we have bought a new mic so tsf can overdub the commentary videos..Roland Rat said:Dim, I fear you're forgetting it's a certain person's retirement tour. P'n'P will be at their fawning worst.
ingsve said:T-A can get slightly diluted by some sprinters choosing P-N instead, though that varies from year to year. Some years P-N sprints can be a joke.

M Sport said:Nice review. I will be quite honest and say series like this one in NSW and the Bay Crit series here in Melbourne/Geelong excite me more than the TDU.
Sprinters races should be all over within an hour. What's the point of stringing the inevitable out over four hours or more.
The Hitch said:To cover as much territory as possible so that you can go from the big cities into the mountains in 1 or 2 stages. In my eyes, its not much of a tour of (x) if they do 50 km then fly the next 150 over night.

Barrus said:Well, you can make the case that due to the longer race certain lesser sprinters are not that fresh anymore and cannot sprint as well. This way only those that are in the better shape have the biggest chances, if you shorten the stages a lot more riders would feel fit enough to sprint.
This is a possible rationale, but I don't believe it holds that much water, especially not in a professional field.
Another reason might be to have more cities and regions within one tour which could increase their revenue. But they would nver do something just for the money![]()
