The moment where Wiebes closed the gap to Kopecky on Kemmelberg, thus ensuring that the latter wouldn't win, would probably be enjoyable for LS to watch. If she hadn't done that, then Kopecky might have won solo, and it would at the very least have made it much harder for Trek to both bring back Kopecky and make sure Balsamo also came back to the front.

Managed to catch a replay, I was hoping a break or an attacker might succeed, like in the men's race. But it was exciting nonetheless, good win for Wiebes again.

It was ultimately a boring race, especially after SD Worx had three riders in a group of 8 after the Kemmelberg ( inc Wiebes, no Balsamo or Kool) howverer, the group sat up leading to a non-descript final 30kms.

They're going to need to find a new belle for when Lizzie finally hangs up the cleats though, and Marty already had dibs on Anna Henderson, Anna Henderson now, Anna Henderson the British rider, Anna Henderson the Visma rider. Anna Henderson is a favourite of Marty McDonald's, is Anna Henderson.

I believe its a comfort/practical thing rather than a trend choice, as a the result of her injury from 2020, she has alot of scar tissue on her left thigh and it can make wearing regular length shorts more painful and uncomfortable.

And certainly last year post finish of stages, her left thigh muscle would go into a painful spasm, whether it was related to sprint efforts or just a build up of 100km racing in the legs, part of her injury comeback, I dont know, but she was having to have massage on that leg muscle immediately, just then to be able to get back to the team bus.
