A thing I didn't realise before:

The entire podium of the stage is of riders outside of the WorldTour. Does anybody know if that has ever happened before?
Check stage 10 of the 2015 Giro ;)
Good catch. And, it's not even unlikely, that it would have been 1-2-3-4 that day, if Oscar Gatto hadn't had his mechanical, that sent him back to the peloton

I think that about 20% of the Netherlands is below sealevel.

I live about 3 meters below sealevel.

In dikes we trust I guess :)

Amateur hour at Verandas Willems. Why the hell is De Bondt pulling when they try to close the gap?

Just stay in the peloton and pull for your team mates if you want a sprint. This is just sad (from Juul Jensen).

BTW, the amount of races where Ewan wins the sprint but there is a solo rider in front who wins the race is absolutely ridiculous

Trek apparently forgot they don't have a sprinter

Or maybe they knew exactly that they don't have a sprinter, so they set up that sneaky attack by Stuyven.

Brilliantly executed plan from Trek. Stuyven very much earned that one, and nice to see how he immediately goes looking for his team mates after the finish.
