Brilliant race as always. Short and easy enough for the riders to go balls deep every day. Hard enough to make a difference

To be honest, there wasn’t as much as a shadow of a doubt.
Actually, if there’s bad weather and it’s raced hard, I don’t see many finishing at all…

Chapeau Pinot & Padun! (lots of young talent on show this week).

Astana bullied all the other teams - Sky should be concerned when Movistar turn up too.

Shame Nibali is n't doing Giro with Pozzo - a class descending duo!

Astana may have been visible, but Pinot dealt with them almost single handedly.

5 fun stages with great racing. I really hate this generic name though. "Tour of Alps" sounds like a amateur race for middle aged men with beer guts.

Padun is looking great, last year he was already the strongest guy on the Italian U23 scene (alongside Riabushenko) and he looks like the real deal.

Great win for Padun. A pleasure watching this race. Is this Pinot’s biggest stage race win?
Definitely. Considering the field, easy.

any idea why Pozzovivo never got a green jersey although leading the mountain competition (or 2nd behind the overall leader) for two or three days? None available in his size? :D

Well, he got it on the podium, and might have worn it at the beginning of the respective stages.
But, yeah... that might have been the reason. :p

Fun fact : That's exactly the reason. :D The organizers didn't anticipate that someone with such a diminutive size could wear that jersey.

Yeah... a small person wearing the climber's jersey is just too strange. :p After all, climbers are usually pretty big.

I believe you, but, do you have a link to a story that mentions it?
