6 in a breakaway in the Mens. 3 Kiwis, 1 Norn Iron, 1 Springbok and a guy from Rwanda. Good to see them get some limelight, for those following Scott Nydam's twitter, he's been working with them to get them prepared for the African Nationals.

I wonder how long they'll last.

serious props to McCann, after his work at the Worlds a week away, then hammering the breakaway group, realising the group was going too slowly for his liking so pushing it out - as I type, within bout a minute McCau;ey comes across and they put 30 secs on the rest of the breakaway

Hatcher(IOM) and Meyer(AUS) are the *ONLY* riders who have put even a second as front of the peloton these last 2-3 laps, seriously impressive riding from these 2.

I would like to see that bunch get split to pieces. Unfortunately my TV coverage has disapperared. Still a long way to got I guess.

I think there are no spectators because they've had to block everything off to stop stray dogs going onto the circuit. Just means they block off people trying to get there as well. Not trying to be derogatory either but I don't think Indian officials are capable of creating a workaround to that issue either.

Anyway just two Maccas left now at the head of the course, about 3 mins ahead of the peloton: McCann and McCauley. They won't last. Impressed by Cav's weekend warriors btw, they're all up the front of the course.

Not sure I understand why the Africans who are 14km+ down are still racing. Its good to have that never quit mentality but not when it looks like you wont be finishing until next week!

Big move by the kiwi's with 3 laps left, they will have 3 men in a 5 week break away, allan davis getting dragged across for any easy sprint win.

Aussies slowing it down very good move here.

Commentators said he wasn't there when I posted lol, should never trust Phil Liggett though.

Unfortunately ONE HD view the diving as a more viewable sport and thus im now stuck with this **** instead of the final few laps, they better change it back soon.

Not missing too much. Cav pulled his group of 3 back up to the other group of 3, New Zealand are plugging away 20 seconds ahead and the pack is processing around.

From here either the front 11 form a pack and go to the finish themselves (with umpteen attempts at breakaways from anyone not called Mark) or the 'peloton' comes back, which would help Cav an awful lot.

Oh, and whilst Liggett is awful, at least you don't have to listen to a man you used to respect prove he didn't really learn a great deal in his time as a pro.

Boardman spent the entirity of the worlds insisting gaps of 10 seconds, 50 odd Kms to the end were decisive, and he's at it again.

In fairness if cav wasn't there this gap probably would have been decisive, they would have all pushed then.

For those in Britain, BBC don't have it on tv, but they do on the internet feeds. Jack Baeur got 30 secs with 2 laps to go, from a select group including Davies/Roulston/Millar/Sutton/McCann/Cav. The chasers aren't really chasing at the moment, but there is probably enough time for them to decide to and catch him.

Exciting watching this, a lot more enjoyable then I ever would imagine, and very impressed that Cav is giving his own in the chase group, never really seen him in this kind of position, if he can keep in touch then I think we've seen a new Cav today, despite the quality not being as high as other races.
