thats too bad. i always liked catalunya. thanx anyway

Yes.
While My2p2 still reports live, today, it also shows the highlights times for both this race and Coppi e Bartali.
I checked a ppv sports channel that previously had the rights to televise, but nothing.
Spanish cycling coverage has become a bad joke.

The only guarantee of live racing, this week, is the Dwars on Wednesday.

Wigans luck runs out. I'm sure that after he flushes it out of his system he will be able to squirt up the hills.

Want to finish in the top 10 at a GT, just pop a few laxatives in your coffee and just take a good ****.

Just in line with the attention that the sport draws from the general public, the press and the sponsors. The parcourse doesn't even suggest a race anywhere close in interest to Paris-Nice.

It makes me laugh when you know who says of a certain Spanish rider that he believes he's the King of Spain.

I'm looking forward to see how Carlos Sastre is going. What on earth has he been up to for the past 8 months? Either his performance at last year's Tour de France was a real blow to his morale and motivation to race, or the DSes at Cervelo are doing something odd.

...but when has Sastre ever really shown any real great form prior to the Tour? I will admit last year in the Ardennes he seemed to uncharacteristically surface and give pretty good performance but he generally saves it all for the Tour for the most part.

Uhm... Il Giro d'Italia, two stage wins and a GC podium not enough? The poor guy did four grand tours in a row, so I it's not strange he'd run out of energy and motivation.

he was in great form at the giro winning 2 stages. arguably peaking too early and that screwed him at the tour. i recall bruyneel raising his eye brows in surprise at sastre's giro form.

there has not been this many "stomach viruses" since the 80's. Does anybody that worked for Once work at Sky? All these last minute pull outs by top riders for an ailment that "will just pass" with no meds or treatment should be looked into.

Sastre has shown great form in all GT-s, but thats it. He seems to care only about GT-s. His palmares of 1-day or 1-week races is almost nonexistent.

Current leader is Kristjan Koren (Liquigas).

According to the ticker it was raining earlier, so the later guys will probably have a bit of an advantage as the course dries out (unless it starts raining again of course).

Gosh, only just got to look at the starting list for this. That ain't half bad. Just a shame the totality of the actual stages look a bit like, well, a playground ride. BUt this summer I hope to be cruising through the area, ask me again how much of a doddle it is with panniers!
