At least we can expect Kloden to finish in a comfortable, familiar spot: second or third overall.

will there be an attack from the main chasing group before the summit of alto del collado ? risky but the daring one can count on a better starting position before the tt.

They have to make it possible for the likes of Wigans to succeed.

yep. these non-selective courses are a bore. thats why we don't see berto here i think. otoh, a well planned breakaway with a strong descending domestigue could liven thing up...but that's not in the cards anymore.

The only mountain they ever put on the course is the Collado Bermejo, and they change it around a bit to keep it fresh. Some years it's the finish line, other years it's 150kms from the finish. This year it's about 30. Last year was the same and it worked well. 3 Guys made it to the finish together and the TT settled it between them.

Next year they'll change it yet again, I'm sure

Contador isn't "here" because it clashes with Paris-Nice every year.

Confidence in the uncontrollable is folly. Anything can happen in a bike race. It's a risk to leave the leader isolated. We'll see if they saved anything purposefully for tomorrow,

but I predict Wiggins will be isolated quickly there too, and may ultimately lose because of it.

got that wrong.. ;)

Alto del Collado Bermejo summit: 1. Poels-Vacansoleil 2. Weening-Rabo 3. Denifl-Cervelo 4. Jufre-Astana 5. Froome-Sky 6. Wiggins-Sky

Holy crap. Is Poels actually going to win a race for once? He's arguably the best sprinter there. Although Jufré and Weeninga aren't much worse
