LOL at his being asked "how has it taken you 38 years to reach this level?"

"Sometimes I need the moon, the earth and the stars to align"...

Lance will have that journalist silenced.

The reaction was much funnier. No one understood the expression and they all stood there in uncomfortable silence until the translator said

"Sorry, I didn't understand that"

Dissapointing time trial by Gesink, much, much worse than 2 years ago.

Probably caused by yesterdays injuries
Maybe not so much by the injuries, as by the virtual impossiblity of still reaching the podium.

Nice win for Radio Shack too. They (and their fans) will be gloating for the next few weeks.

Horner's gonna be dropping Contador with all this skill, leaving Lance to take all the mountain stages..... Just you wait and listen to the fanboys.

I like being a pedant, so I'll point out that that was an interpreter, not a translator, because it was spoken, not written language :D

But you're right, the reaction was funny, nice level of awkwardness. Horner also looked quite awkward as the introductory sentence for the interview ran on forever as he stood there silently grinning for the camera looking around like, when do I speak?

Oh no doubt. Horner has to be the TdF favorite at this point. :p:p

On a serious note, he may be Radio Shack's BEST domestique now and in July. The guy always seems to be there---unless he crashes.

Hats off to Horner, been waiting for Radioshack to get some results, I'm sick of having to take the ribbing from you guys about the Shack not getting results haha hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Plus I love seeing an American get a result regardless of team.

I must say he clearly showed what he's capable of in the few moments we've seen him shine last year, but this is a little beyond expectations... and a little strange, to himself as well, I'm sure.

Oh look, the dreaded fanboys have come!

in all fairness- congrats to Horner- he was the favorite in this last ITT- and well timed to sort of boost the morale of the sponsors. Interestingly enough to see how the "non-leaders" of the Shack are the ones getting the results.
