I was checking Steephill and it doesn't show an estimated end time. Does anybody have a clue of when that will be? I only wanna catch the final few laps.

Yes please. That would be really helpful for me too... I don't wanna get up really early to just watch a snoozefest for a while. When does the race start and when's the earliest expected finish?

It starts at 10:00 CET, finish will probably be around 16:30, I would aim for before 15:30, that way you get at least 40 minutes or so.

What would that be in PDT?

I chose this over an F1 live event(the F1 roar is really loud and nice to hear in person!) so this race better be good!
I hope I would not be staring at the tv from 5.30pm-11.30pm. Eurosport are great for giving us such long live coverage.

Isn't it curious that, once again, there's a high chance we'll see the new world champion changing team, like the last two did?
Just think: Cav is changing, Thor, Gilbert, Spartacus and Bennati, Gerrans, Goss are changing too...

to tell you the truth I had nothing interesting to say, just impatient to see the race :D

No, Sagan isn't changing teams.

Sagan will win this with both arms above his head as he crosses the line.

Hoping for a bit more action in the early going then we saw in the womens race. The regular caffine hits were the only thing keeping me awake.

If Sagan crashes and doesn't win then I hope either an Aussie or a 2012 BMC Racing Team member wins.

A lot of 2012 BMC riders are in contention such as Gilbert, Thor and even GVA.

BMC may run out of rainbow armbands with all the world champions on their team. :D

It would be nice to see Sagan win, but many are saying the distance is just too much for him.

Yeah, and he only has a couple of team mates to help him as well. But I still think he is good enough to do it and this finish is made for him.

True. Can't write him off just yet. I remember in MSR I would never have thought Goss would have won and he did. Also, Thor won the Worlds last year with very few teammates as well. So the chance is there.

Is there a final and definitive start list anywhere? There are 2 on Steephill but one is the shortlist (e.g. showing 14 possible starters for Australia) and the other is the "interactive" startlist but it has not been updated for a week, I think.

If Sagan is in the main group at the end or even able to sprint ftw I'll eat my hat. Most over-rated favourite I've seen.

Maybe, but if you've seen the huge groups that arrived at the finish in every race until now, even a guy who hasn't really shown he can handle the distance should still be able to get very far.

Today John Degenkolb becomes Germany's next Rudi Altig. ;) I have absolutely no idea, who will win this.

I'd preferred one more lap, like the organisers wanted. And heavy rain. ;)

i guess this statement is based on his age and a little experience of finishing long races more than on his natural ability to sprint on a slightly uphill terrain?
