I am surprise that so many people are picking Zabriskie. His speciality are longer TT where he can open up the big engine. I can Wiggins, Evans, Martin, and Vino. If there are any technicality on the descent, maybe Samu could surprise a few.

I am thinking G. Thomas or Boassen Hagen .

Tell him Phinney's got a German grandmother and the next thing you know he'll be tipping him to win La Vuelta!;)

It will be the usual clock suspects, plus maybe a rogue lead out lad who contest this.
Martin
Wiggins
Zabriske
Boom
Boasson Hagen and maybe Westra can get amongst them.

Does he really have a german grandmother?

Yes. From Bad Dürkheim, IIRC.

Oh thanks!

I hope Taylor is fine? Why is he not riding!
Young man has a bright future, never doubted that. However, he should focus on one thing. Track and Street don't work together in my opinion

Since DAOTEC is no longer around, everyone else is making their moves to win the internets.

I posted this less than 48 hours before. Because I often do the race threads and I had some spare time Thursday night I did one then.

Any start times yet?

Can we have this thread stickied?:p

Not yet. Keep posting to have it alive :p

As for next Sunday, I don't know whether to bet for Roger or Rafa.

A shame. I was enjoying watching a replay of the Djokivic Federer match while reading this forum. Figured i wouldnt find out about the result on the pro racing section of the forum.

Was looking like a very interesting match as well.

None of them, Evans ftw! He actually said he has recconed this course. Out of the 3 of those guys I would go with Zabriskie, Wiggins then Martin.

Tjallingii isn't really a prologue specialist.

Westra isn't either but he can do a good prologue (as he won in Belgium), but not win here. I expect Westra in the 42,5 Grenoble TT

Westra is more for the 20-30km time trials, no? I think this TT will be a bit too hard for him to win or come close to a win(against this field)

How about Rabon, Tjallingi, Westra - do these guys stand a chance of a top 20 on this course?

Rabon has been doing terrible all season. This is too short for Tjallingii, he'll do better in the long time trial. Westra can definitely finish top-20 here, in fact, it would be surprising if he didn't.

No bang bang here, but Boom Boom.
Wiggo Wiggo also possible if he didn't do too much bunga bunga after beating Spartakus.

Panzerwagen solid 3th.
