This is why I think he didn't go out.

Cause if he did try, he was indeed pathetic, it is hard to believe he could be that bad.

I echo spine and wonder what his ambitions are for the tour? does anyone know?

I guess he wants to go for the podium. Don't see how that could not be his goal after finishing sixth last year...

I think the real reason why Dekker Tifosi is worried about Gesink is that his Avatar bet is looking all the more shaky! :)
Nah, Evans always blows it when there is pressure on him, if he knew of this avatar bet I'm sure he'd already be lost

On the bright side, did Luis Leon Sanchez actually do something well today?

Sky 1-2 on GC on Wednesday evening.

Hah, that would be great but I'll be amazed if it happens. There's an awful lot of climbing in that ITT for Wiggo, and I think it may be a little long for EBH, but we'll have to wait and see.

What's wrong with Samu?

Same as Gesink. I'm convinced they kept their heartrates at a certain point.

I'm actually kinda happy that Gesink isn't going all out for once.

Yes, but it is kind of worrying, cause the form he has shown this year when climbing (besides Green Mountain), when the TdF is so close.

Sky...time to realize that EBH is not a sprinter.

Sky realised it long ago (and have said as much publicly). That you keep saying it does not make it true. He's been leader in hilly one day races, and he's been protected on mountain stages.

I meant in terms of form... Unless he wont go all out there (which I doubt) its impossible to hide bad form over 42 tt kms.

Obviously La Toussuire will be the final litmus test. If Gesink can't perform, or doesn't want to perform, there I will write him off for the Tour.

This is the first time I've doubted Gesink this season so far.

Time to move our hype train to wilco me thinks ;)

:p

Yeah, it gave me some degree of hope. If he is in fact taking it easy that is good news, but surely he has to try well on one stage to see where he is at.

The factions of the Dutch Mafia certainly are. They are all losing it :p

don't exaggerate, were just discussing what happened.

No worse then your Hissy fit over Evans prologue yesterday ;)

This situation has more cause of concern, and I can't speak for the others but I am not to worried about this (as my previous posts have suggested). Discussing race events as such is expected, no?
