Very impressive indeed, but he peaked for this, Fedrigo said so in an interview after the prologue, everyone would ride for Pinot's GC. Impressive nonetheless

Oh okay thanks for the info. The ITT is gonna hurt his chances for a Top10 big time though.

Difference is that Gesink has already proven he can climb well. Martin has never really shown much climbing talent IMO.

No offense, but you cannot possible compare Martin to Gesink climbing wise. The argument would be lost before it even begins. Let's not get carried away now.

Those are the same Cat.2 climbs as today, those are not HC climbs where the tour will be decided.

Even Cancellara could have won that Paris-Nice. And Cummings isn't exactly someone who sets the climbs on fire now is he...

That U23 results mean jack ****.

No Martin has never shown he can climb in the real mountains for a top 10. It is what it is.

who is comparing?

I just asked some clarification about the word "never". I know that Gesink is better than Martin climbing.

I know the argument: but why are not there jokes on Gesink? I've seen a post Gesink vs VdB as well...

I will wait to say that Gesink will not do well at the tour, but I will wait for Martin as well...
You have to understand that the jokes aren't on Martin but on Bavarianrider.

Well, you are quick to defend Martin. I thought you might be part of the Martin bandwagon together with the fearless leader Bavarian.

why good?? you lost, jrod didn't win

He came second. And people were saying this wasn't steep enough for him.

No one would have predicted VDB2 to win here. So yeah, it was a good prediction. I was expecting something from Jrod here.

I did not post the overall classification of the Paris Nice, but only the mountain stages... where Martin finished with Samuel Sanchez...

well on the first result i see martin getting beaten by the amzing climber steven cummings.

ofc those results in paris nice have to be taken into account. after all the parcours were just sooooooooo mountainous with all those HC mountains and the race was ridden so aggressively . . . .

You mean the guy who was in bad form and didn't train much because of his doping case?

Put Contador and Martin on the Monte Crostis and Zoncolan and he puts an hour in him.

I like Martin, but I don't say that is the best rider of the world, neither that is climbing better than Gesink... but I'm just sayng that today is more disappointing the performance of Gesink than that one of Martin, but from the comments doesn't appear this...

I understand that, however it seems like you do not - want to - understand me.
There is a reason for the majority of comments in Martin's direction as opposed to Gesink. It's mostly because of a particular poster who's been over-hyping Martin and his chances at the Dauphine and the Tour.
