Hagen actually making up time in the final part!
43 seconds.

Tony Maritn left something in the final part. That is clear now.

EBH takes time off Martin on the descent. I wonder if that means conditions are less slippery.

Probably find out it's been bone dry all day.

Impressing by EBH to gain time on Martin and pass DZ! Should end up 3rd, think Wiggins will pass him.

It's more like Hagen was flying the last 15km. He won 30 seconds on Zabriskie here:eek::eek:

I'm not surprised. Luckily I had him in my top 5 at the prediction game :D

Martin, Zabriskie, Wiggins, Hagen and the other one I forgot.

tony martin didn't leave something, boasson hagen gained in final part. he also gained masively on zabriskie. zo is clear boasson hagen turned on his diesel on the latter part which suits the power rider well

I truly hope Geraint Thomas won't catch Samuel Sanchez. And if it happens, I hope it won't be televised. :(

Did it rain?
No only in the morning.

But the roads were most likely still a bit wet when Martin started. That's what you get for dropping minutes in the early stages ofcourse

Boom has given up riding hard. Now 3 minutes behind, clearly not pushing anymore

Maybe he's just not any better?
Has he ever shown something in a plus 40km TT ?

World Champion U23 ITT tell you anything?
Dutch National Championships tell you anything (Professional)?
Also 15th at the World Championships Professioonal ITT in Mendrisio...
And 9th in the Vuelta ITT...

So, thinking he can't do better than outside top 20 is pretty ignorant

Well, Txurruka beating Ignatiev and only conceding seven seconds to Lars Boom at the first intermediate point would suggest the riders currently on the course are certainly not facing a sudden headwind.

Don't think so.

It's not like the roads where super wet and in the end super dry. He'll have some advantage maybe (Wiggins), but not much.

Well U23 is not plus 40 km:rolleyes:

Dutch national championchip ohh what a fierceful competition
15th in World championchips is nothing to boast with. Just look what tomato cans can get in the Top 20 there:rolleyes:

EBH looking in great form for the Tour. Several stages he can target in the opening couple of weeks (horrible feeling he will be used as a sprinter though)
