Can only see Brad Wiggins in the leaders jersey after tomorrow. He's clearly on good form as last week at Bayern Rundfarht showed.

Just checked CQ ranking for ITT's this year for the top contenders when they've raced together:
Paris Nice (27km)- Wiggins 2nd, Vino 1m9s behind, Brajkovic @1m11s, Roche @ 2m47s.
Romandie (20.1km)- Wiggins 4th, Evans @37s, Vino @56s, Brajkovic @ 1m2s, Roche @ 1m58s.

At the TDF last year Wiggins put nearly 2 minutes into Vino over 52km, over 3mins on Roche and 3.5mins on Brajkovic.

Therefore, I can't see past Wiggins for the leaders jersey at worst and he must have a great chance of the win. Of the overall contenders, I can only see Evans challenging him tomorrow.
That time trial in Romandie is not really fair as the final guys such as Vino and Evans had a massive head wind up the climb. I think all the gc guys for the tour will want to test themselves on this course. Should make for an entertaining tt.

This TT is for the tour riders. I think Tony Martin will make his mark tomorrow, Vino will cement his dominance over the other riders. What remains after that will just be a parade to the finish!!! :p

Cant see it.

Martin should put in a good time but Wiggins for the win.

Vino will end up 3 -4 on GC after todays stage.

+1

Probably too long for vino.

Wiggans imo is capable of taking a 30 seconds to a minute from the rest of the GC men.

GC after today:

wiggo
evans
braj
vino
vdb

Tough Call

I think Vino might pull this one out. Wiggo and Evans had a hard chase yesterday. Jani Brajkovic will do well to not loose to much time. It will bad for him if it's windy. He weighs only 58kg. Are Tony Martin and Dave Z only hunting a stage win in TT? I don't think so. Still, I wager...

Vino
Wiggo
Evans
?
JBraj in the top ten.

JBraj to win the GC with two very hard mountain-top finishes on the final two stages. :D

I'm wondering if Zabriskie peaked for tour of california? If so, I'm guessing his form right now might not be so good? But how will it effect his timing for TdF form?

I enjoy lumpy time trials like this - massive time gains for intelligent cyclists over flat pacing cretins.

wait, riding up a hill requires intelligence? wait.. riding a bike in an ITT requires a brain??

They don't even have him on the list for Garmin's roster on Cycling Fever

I hope Samu does not lose more than 4 minutes like last year. He's building steadily, but his TT'ing in the 2010 Tour was not good enough, which made him lose his 3th spot in the end. On this course he should be close to the likes of Gesink / Taaramäe / Peraud, who all seem to building the way he does.

If VDB puts in an excellent time trial today, we can safely assume he's peaking too early, methinks. Although his time trialing is actually a little underrated here (he was only 33 seconds short of a top 10 in last year's long ITT in the Dauphiné), so even with a top 10 today we can't jump to conclusions.

Tony Martin should win this.

Lousy weather in Grenoble, this morning. Slowly improving conditions which could favour the later starters.

Has anybody got start times yet?

None yet. But the first rider leaves at 12:55, the last one at 16:10... So I guess we can safely say that the start list will be reverse order, separated by one minute.

Wiggins or Martin for the win.

Gesink said he would go all out in the TT so it's an important day for him.

There will be favorits who lose a lot of time. Brajko can ride a good TT, and this one is too hilly for Martin.(he's not in top-shape)

Think that wiggins, cadel and brajko will battle for the win.

2nd in Chrono des Nations, and 3rd in Dauphine ITT were both good time trials over 35km+ last year.
