Boom should be there any minute now. But I think he'll be 40/50 seconds behind, maybe even more. (at the 1st checkpoint that is, much more at finish)

Nice thread. Especially liked the bit were everyone ganged up on Ruben about the 20 seconds.

Regarding Vino, I dont think he will do that well. He was poor in Pais Vasco tt and hes older now. THis isnt the Vino of 2007.

Would absolutely love to see it though.

well... i think you could argue the vino of 2007 wasn't vino of 2007 since not all of his blood was actually his

Very very solid ride by Uran!

this year he finally started training his itt. it used to be his biggest weapon in colombian youth, he was also on his way to becoming world itt champion in juniors but had 2 flat tires after each other. his first year with unibet he immediately won timetrial at age 20 against nozal and santos gonzalez, very impressive. since then he let it decline

What's the fail exactly Bavarianrider? Nobody ever said something about his long itt's.

It was you who predicted all kind of crazy **** in the prologue and got the result in your face.

We all agreed however that in a long ITT there would not be a question that Martin would be better. So you have no leverage to say something like fail  Try again ;) You'll get there..once...ever..no..you won;t

Tony Martin commented right after he completed the course: “I think I have done a good time. I’m very satisfied with the way I rode. The weather conditions I got were really good. The two climbs are pretty hard but I was lucky to have a tailwind. I also rode a good downhill at the end. I hope my time will stay the best till the end. 58 seconds faster than Zabriskie, wow, that’s good! I liked the course, it’s a course for everybody and I came to the Dauphiné because this will be the course of the time trial at the Tour de France as well. I had a long break, so it’s normal that I wasn’t doing very well in the first two stages of the Dauphiné. I’m here to getting better step by step.”

If the course is drying out, Cadel's got another problem in that the previous BMC rider, Morabito, will have gone out 1hr and 22 mins earlier. So not exactly up-to-date course information.

I wonder if D_T and Bavarian will eventually annihilate each other in some kind of matter-antimatter terrible posting explosion. Here's hoping.

he had tailwind, just like everyoen else I suppose, can you imagine this course with headwind in the tour maybe??

It's a circle so the wind more or less neutrals anyway.

he has done some good time trials in the past.

he is injured you know.
But yeah, he is no way near a tony martin in a long itt anyway.
