I'm in and, given my track record in these things, am not expecting to contend. Thanks to both of you for setting up the leagues.

Would any mod like to sticky this please? At least for a week so it doesn't get lost for people that may be interested in participating.

Just putting down 5 picks for M-SR as a tester :p

Interesting, do you pick the top5 you think will come in order, or pick the 5 you think have the best chance of winning.

For M-SR, I'd probably have Cav, Petacchi, Haussler, Goss, Gilbert as potential winners... whereas that is a bit different to what I think the top5 will turn out to be.

Yeah not Milan San Remo guys, too short notice for others, but be interesting to see how well everyone goes. :D

zzzz, why did I only look at this thread for the first time today, will have to sign up after M-SR.

ak-zaaf's team looks super, Goss, Haussler, Farrar, Gilbert should cover the winner from today and next week.

bicing riders in MSR: Ballan, Kroon, Goss, Renshaw, Bruseghin, Gasparotto, Arvesen, Haussler.

One thing I remembered from last time. In the stage races especially the rule of entering the team 24-hours before the stage starts was only loosly upheld. Most of the time you could wait and enter the team for the following stage until you know the winner of the stage the day before. I think this is a good thing to continue. I suggest a deadline at something like 10pm CET the night before a contested stage during a stage race.

And 6th and 7th in the leagues. Dim, I think you have the only Premium team in the CN one so if you cant win that....we'll call you Sky 2010 ;)

So I had 5 people who did MSR predictions so I'm going to display what they got so people can understand the scoring (and also to see if I've got it right). Ferminal & The Hitch's predictions came without an order so I took the liberty there so I could show various examples. No I didn't really tip either. :p

For those that did this before - is my scoring of the "clean sweep" right?

Ingsve, fair point, I'll leave that part up there but will be "relaxed".

Yeah, 5/5 (quin) in correct order gives you 30 additional points (which is why I did it as 6 lots of 5).

Are we sending in our team for every one of those races now?

Well, I've done mine anyway

Unless Tuarts has changed the rules this time around, I believe you can send your predictions up until 24hours BEFORE the specific race/stage.

Kind of hard to predict the winner of the world championships or giro di lombardia in march. Anything can happen between now and then.

@Tuarts. Looks really nice! And yes, if you had gotten those 5 riders in the correct order, I think you'd have built yourself an insurmountable lead. (On the first race ;) )

Actually, my bad. Hitch should have 16 points. 10 for the correct winner, 3 for having goss in the top 5, and 3 for having goss in the right spot.

You would also have gotten 10 for Goss (as the winner), 3 for Goss in the top 5, and 3 for Goss in the right spot. Your total would be 70 and not 67! :p

Hey Tuarts, do you have a backup person for this, ie. if your inbox gets full is there someone who people can send their picks to in order to ensure they're in on time? While we're at it, is there someone you will send your picks to?

I'm not volunteering to be that person as I'm not on every day and am away from computer for a week at a time come May, but I just thought it might be a good idea so you could participate and so there wouldn't be confusion if there are many people participating.

Luckyboy, just need 1 prediction for the races when the come up, as Mercx said you have 24 hours beforehand to enter the predictions for that race, not the whole thing.

Mercx, ok thanks so 70 is the max anyone can get - picking the winner is big points.

skidmark, my inbox shouldn't get full, if it does holler in this thread. I'll be posting my teams in this thread for transparency sake. Although if anyone does insinuate I'm cheating for personal gain then I'd pack all this in.

Bump! 3 days left now I think, for you to get in your Gent-Wevelgem predictions in

Is it possible to send in the predictions a little later.
Because this week in particular, E3 will have a lot to say for my prediction at GW. Merckx was pretty lenient with that stuff.

If any submissions are over the time limit, I'm not going to be stressing to hard.

Hitch is that your side? You can PM if you dont want to reveal your selections to others. On that note - did Merckx release what everyone selected or just their scores?

Obviously with time left luckyboy, you can change your predictions if you wish :)
