Well done Daniel. I really got into this game as it got along. Might be due to the fact that I was on or near the top for a lot of the latter races:p

So looking forward to next year, if there will be someone to run it.

Huge thanks to Tuarts. Not a symbolic thanks to look nice but a real thanks. He run it, run it well and put up with me changing predictions 3 times before every race. And did the tables.

Chapeau.

And the final table!

Well done luckyboy, outright winner after a long season and equal points jersey winner!
Congrats to The Hitch as well for equal leader in the points jersey and to lancaster and Cobblestone, equal leaders in the polka-dots.
Also special mention to minessa, leader for most of the competition and also has the record points from one day, 34 at the Duaphine.

Lastly, thanks to everyone who participated, to those throughout the year and those in parts, you all made the game and I hope everyone had some fun and enjoyment out of it. As the organiser, I'm glad its over :p

Will post the last, full table and the last spreadsheet after I go through all the results with a finecomb, making sure there's no glaring mistakes!

Tuarts,

I appreciate your work a lot, although joining just before the Vuelta and not participating for a long time i must say that every time was always a pleasure!

So what more can i say that a a very sincere THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!

All the best and congrats to Luckyboy!

9th and the best scorer for this race. If only I could have kept it going like it was during the spring. That's where I really peaked.

Ah, just off to podium! But just as bradley wiggins talked himself up after his 4th place in the tour, so shall i talk myself up to be the victor next year :D

A sincere thanks Tuarts, a fantastic job running it and congrats luckyboy for a well-deserved victory

Thanks for the compliments guys, much appreciated. Luckyboy if you want to do it next year, fine by me. :D

I dont think there's anything I'd have to tell you, you seem more than competent in using excel so you'd probably do better than me. :p

Haha.

If I take over the organisation, what do people think of adding a race or two? Obviously Milan-SanRemo, maybe Paris-Nice/Tirreno-Adriatico, Eneco Tour and Paris-Tours.

Also, having a World Cup jersey for the best performer over a couple of the classics.

I don't mind extra races, I added a couple myself from Merckx original list. The only problem is getting a consistent amount of people for all of them. Eg Poland was just fail this year, likely after a Dauphine/Tour burnout.

Yeah good point. Here's the idea I had..

Cut either San Sebastian or Montreal, definitely add MSR, Paris-Nice, Paris-Tours, maybe add Eneco.

Stage Race
Normal One-Day Race
World Cup One Day Race

Paris-Nice/Tirreno-Adriatico + 2 stages
Milan-Sanremo
E3 Prijs/Gent-Wevelgem
Ronde Van Vlaanderen
Paris-Roubaix
Amstel Gold Race
La Fleche Wallonne
Liege-Bastogne-Liege
Giro d'Italia + 5 stages
Criterium du Dauphine + 2 stages
Tour de France + 5 stages
Clasica San Sebastian
Eneco Tour + 2 stages
Vuelta a Espana + 5 stages
GP Montreal
World Championships RR
World Championships ITT
Paris-Tours
Giro di Lombardia

I think we should get some people to throw in some races they'd like to see added, vote on them, and see what happens.

There isn't a whole lot of room to manoeuvre.

Sanremo, De Ronde, Roubaix, Amstel Gold, Liege, Giro, Tour, Vuelta, Worlds, Lombardia have to be in there. Fleche Wallonne and Gent-Wevelgem fill in gaps.
That means Pais Vasco, for example, isn't really viable.

The remaining races are filling in the gaps in the calendar.
So it could be:
Paris-Nice vs Tirreno-Adriatico vs Catalunya
Dauphine vs Suisse
Pologne vs Eneco
Quebec vs Montreal

i'd suggest that for non GT stage races we only pick GC and 1 stage, maybe also 1 other category that changes (depending on the stage race.

i found picking sprints and young rider for dauphine etc. a little too much like hard work.

1 point for each day of the year. Not bad.
Congrats luckyboy. You are a lucky boy. :D

Last but not least: Many thanks to Tuarts.
Hope the game will continue in 2012.
Will choose a different approach then. ;)

luckyboy were you going to run this?

I'll look for my spreadsheet too, and upload it to something not megaupload. :(
