I have no idea. I doubt that Gesink has any chance to catch back up considering how bad he looked on the climb up. Martin didn't look that great either, but he did look like he was riding within his means, so he would have a better chance.

Martin was also dropped much further up the road than Gesink. I doubt he's getting back on either though, and if he does he won't be any use on the final climb.

german eurosport referring about how bad the schlecks are as descenders and that gerdemann was supposed to help them there!?!? how was that supposed to happen ;)

He perhaps wants some cushion for the final climb as he'll likely be dropped there.

Contador looked kinda doubtful, if this is the appropriate word. Basso and Bros on the contrary look much much better.

Can't wait for Szmyd to wreak some havoc and then basso sliding in with his pain face dropping everyone one by one.
