This makes things more interesting. Sanchez is still a GC threat even though he lost some time earlier. If he can get a significant lead at the foot of the final climb, it will eliminate any possibility of playing games at the beginning and waiting until the end to make a move. They'll have to go immediately to avoid giving Sammy a couple of minutes on this stage.
While some of the tactics being used by different teams can be questioned, it seems for the most part everything they've done has made the stage more interesting, not less. Gotta love that.
