I hope Gilbert and Jelle to be in the breakaway. 40 points on the line here for the green jersey and 20 points for the polkadots. And a stage win of course.

No, 20 points for the win, unless the race book is lying to me. The Green jersey battle is finished.

Intermediate sprint. Break has always taken the full points till now.

Stage has breakaway written all over it. I think HTC will chase down Gilbert if he tries to get in the early moves, we'll see.

40 km from the mountain top to the finish, with plenty of those being downhill, is not a lot. This will be a great stage if everyone goes all out, or if we go back in time to 1993.

would it be possible for Samu to work together with Phil and distance the others in the descend? I mean, clearly these guys are the best descenders of those who can get over that climb. What kind of descend is it? The Tourmalet descend is pretty easy yet they took like 50 seconds on that descend alone.

Clearly neither of them are afraid to take risks.

This is the day when miracles happens. Let one of the lames , or the wounded , and the desperate be the first to bring a candle at the shrine in Lourdes. I vote for the unexpected and the forgotten for the win. IMO

this one was made for Nibali.. and by default to a Nibali ride-alike

yeah. But I am sure Gilbert will try to get away in the little climbs leading to the the intermediate sprint OPL can make it hard for the Cavendish type

I won't be surprise if Leopard decided to do a descent assault tomorrow with Fabian & Co. Some of their climbers have been exposed today, and they might want to gain more time in this one...

Leopard would be wasting their time working on the ascent. There's more than enough time to lose any advantage gained - on the downhill, and the Schlecks aren't considered to be the best descenders. A waste of energy.

all of us are waiting for the 14th stage, but I think this one will be epic too!
Sanchez will do the "falco" on the descent, and we will se who will follow him, and (maybe more important), who will try to follow him taking some risks!

I hope he's not that daft.

Tomorrow is rolling rest for Sanchez, get todays effort out a bit and get ready to ride solidly on Saturday. He could really do something this tour with a following wind and the good form he seems to have.

i can tell for sure 1 rider that will be on the break of the day

163 Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (Por) Movistar Team +33.05

he finished on the main bus today and he already said he wants another win and that for him a stage(or 2 in this case) is much more important then a spot in the top 40 of the GC

According to the official medical report Costa has suspected tendinitis.
