Rojas finished 2 points down from the main bunch. Even if Gilbert hadn't beaten Rojas, all the attack did was move him from 12th to 10th and move Rojas down from 11th to 12th.

EBH started his sprint 300 meters too early again. Lars Bak - what a ****ing ******bag. He managed to be in a breakaway for a whole day without hitting the front even once before the final 100 meters. Typical HTC tactic.

Absolutely amazed by Thor Hushovd, that was one gutsy ride!

Didn't know they had the camera on Bak all day, what channel were you watching?

I'm not a fan of pointy sideburns and turtlenecks, but JV likely made the call today.

So Garmin with a Tour TTT,Sprint and road stage.

throw in a Paris Roubaix and that's a good year.

Anyway, Thor wasn't badly placed and at the moment just doesn't seem to have the turn of speed the pure sprinters do - a price for climbing so well. I’m sure he will win somewhere in the 2 weeks. My prediction is stage 13 for him.

Yes that's true. After the hilly stages of the 1st week and losing the yellow jersey I thought Hushovd's Tour was over because there weren't more stages suited to him. Well, maybe I should revise the concept of stage suited to Hushovd...

I don't see why he couldn't have done both. Simply contesting the intermediates would have put him much closer to green and today he could have easily grabbed the intermediate sprint without sacrificing his goal.

for sure, to have held the yella jersey for 9 days and then to win a stage on his own, no team towing him to 150 metres...very special win.
