For that matter, why didn't Thor contest the intermediate sprint? He could have had first in it. I realize he is way behind on points, but combine that with a stage win and he'd pick up 40 points. (is the stage win only 20 again today?)

Yeah, he'd still be a very long shot to get the green, but he was up there in the breakaway. Why the hell not grab the full intermediate points while he's there?
