But it's not because he's lacking bike handling skills. Probably more of a mental thing with a lot of cyclists. Not everyone is as crazy as Phil.

Yep, and knowing when a risk must be taken. Evans can take a risk when needed but since he does not bomb every decline he is somehow lacking.

Whatever boys.

You said bike handling skills had nothing to do with being a good descender. It's one of the factors that make a good descender.

I said bike handling skills is something different than being a good downhiller. as I've made clear with boom and evans as examples.

Boason Hagen will have a chance to beat Thor if he doesn't get dropped on the descent.
But anyway Norway will own this stage by the looks of things.

You're right. They all suck.
Again you're generalizing.

I said just because they are ex-mtbers doesn't mean they all have great bike handling. I don't agree that Evans and some others (Peraud, Rasmussen) have good handling/downhill skills.
I never said they all suck.

Unlike you guys, who claim every mtb-er is a wonder on the bike

But no more, you simply can't see reason, mister king of generalizing.

Some of the side topics on race threads make me shake my head somewhat.

I guess "what makes a good descender" is related to the stage at hand... but when it turns into:

"Evans is a good descender."

"No he's not."

"Yes he IS!"

"NO HE'S NOT!"

well... can we agree to disagree and move on?

Ok, I think Evans' MTB background serves him well. You don't. We disagree on this point.

Don't get all worked up.

should last, especially when you consider sherwan's law ;)

Just tuned in. I see Hushovd's in the break. So it's all over then. :D

He's probably the big favourite but the Panzerwagen and Hagen are there so not completly certain.
