Would be nice to see EBH get it right!

With the penultimate KM at 6.3%, favorites need to try to stay close to the front.

the 3-1 km are 4% not hard at all. last km is flat

Cancellara only worked in the TT (stage 1) of the TDS.

The rest of the tour he was just a passenger . . . . saving himself for TDF

I have studied the last 5 km on Google Earth. Between the 3rd and last Km from the finish the incline is 88m - therefore it is a 4%ish gradient. The final KM is flat.

No matter what any guide tells you beleive it - 4% gradient.;)

Yeah from the profiles I have studied and the height gained I came up with a similar figure.

I have been thinking of something interesting. if gilbert or a fav attacks early im sure the rest of them will follow and the gc favs might be in the contention for the win. is it possible?

i don't think so no. This will go to a tough sprinter, like thor. Gilbert will no doubt get amongst the sprint, and I suspect he wont attack on the climb as such.

This breakaway is benefitting tremendously from that tailwind. Once they hit Saint Michel they will lose this advantage and start to lose time.

Oh great, SBS are doing a piece on Cavendish before the stage which will supposedly make me admire him...I highly doubt that.

Thor looked sluggish yesterday so I dunno, kind of like Gilbert or Hagen for this one.
Doubt if a GC rider will get involved probably will throttle back and weight for stage 7.

Nearly a third of the stage done and the lead is fast approaching nine minutes! Things could get interesting if they keep this up.:D

Sophistic - they travel 88m in height in 2,000m in distance - that makes it 4.4% where on earth do you get 6% from ???!!!

He did OK yesterday, Some of his wins can be handed on a plate but he had to show something for a change. He was too ****ed to celebrate properly which was nice!

The tdf official guide says the climb is 1.3km @ 6.3% then 1.4km of false flat with 400m of flat to the finish.

I was more reffering to the attitude of the guy as I agree his wins are always classy.
