Btw. fun fact: Cav has already won more Tour de France stages than either "Ale Jet" or "Super Mario", and might have more than both of them combined by the end of July.

A game of chicken going on in the bunch? Garmin trying to resist doing work for as long as possible?

I can imagine Thor would be ****ed if 1) He doesn't get a chance to go for the win today and 2) He loses Yellow. Roux is 2'25" down.

10'54" now, maybe waiting for the Sprint before they begin the chase.

Looks like a lovely day. And it's the longest stage in this year's Tour. Super day in the saddle. :p

Unless I counted incorrectly Petacchi has 6 and Cipollini has 12, Cavendish is at 16 as of today.

Finish looks reasonable at present, who knows if it will stay that way.

Gap has finally begun coming down, after peaking at 11'25" it's now 10'23", 116km remaining.

The way he rides this it looks like alpe d'huez, is he pulling a truck with his bike or what?

He is riding one of those bikes you can fold together and put inside your car, so not exactly a racebike :)
