typical luxemburg glory fan of the schlecks.

Without the Schlecks this whole cycling circus would implode, like F1 did when Schumacher left (hence his comeback) so you should all be thankful for them and admire their glory like I do ... it is thanks to them that apparently cycling has been able to spread from it's roots (Luxembourg, France) to Italy and Switzerland in recent years. I am confident that more countries will follow suit when Andy wins the TdF this year

I don't like being discriminatory in this forum, but you are talking about Luxemburg here. I hope you are not being serious about the Schlecks.

If you are serious you have some issues about your fanboism or whatever is called.

and yeah i never gave up on him

we had a 2005 rujanito and in july we'll have a 2007 soler

Rujano wasn't all that good. Definitely no top 5 climber like some think here. You don't hear Gadret calling him self the third best climber...

Soler's climbing was never the problem. Just all his crashes that messed up his preparation. He's even unluckier than Tom Boonen when it comes to the Tour de Frane. Though I still see these 2 mess up before the Tour starts.

Soler climbed with Contador for example at Castilla y Leon in 2010. It wasn't a surprise for me to see him do well here as long as he didn't crash.

Both Nibali and Scarponi climbed better. Besides he was an eternity behind after Contador. There are plenty of better climbers than Rujano that skipped the Giro and are doing the Tour instead.

nibali and scarponi didn't climb better, if you atke rujano's time and take off the 5 minutes he lost in the sterrato stage and 2 mintues he lost on friday both because he was behind a crash and without a team he would've finished 2nd, no thanks to his itt. so in the mountains he was 2nd bets but when totally fit for 3 weeks with whole team around him like with contador I can see rujano beating contador in mountains. they are same age as well.

I think we all should be glad Phil and Paul aren't commentating. I think them fawning over Radioshack as they lead the peleton up Crans Montana would of been intolerable. Should be interesting how Bottle and klodi go!
The wonderful irony of a member who brazenly supports (one might even say fawningly :D) Aussie cyclists damning the two most famous commentators on Yankee networks for their support of a Yank team with successful Yank riders.

Not defending Phil or Paul - I've made my irritation with them known in this forum before - or defending what all broadcasters do - fawning over their "home team" - just noting the irony...

Actually, it was possibly better than that - Mosquera attacked, Antón and Contador went with them, and then Soler bridged across to them solo over a few km, then attacked them straight away.

In the real world he lost that time while the others were sacrificing energy to stay in the lead group.

Let's not forget Scarponi's mechanical on Zoncolan. And he still finished in front of him on it.

In what world can you see Rujano beat Contador lol? He was more then 12 minutes back. Let's add 2 minutes on it as well as Contador could have easily followed Rujano on Finestre. Let's then go to a real GT where there's a 40km time trial and he's set to lose even more time.

Rujano even got dropped on Grossglockner, the stage he won... And what team did Contador have precisely? He was isolated on all final climbs.

It must be incredibly superficial to dislike someone because his face looks stupid, but Loser really brings up the worst in me.

Edit:

I guess everybody is entitled to a little superficiality every now and then.

That actually tricks me into cheering for them, only to discover after the race how stupid they look. ;)

To be fair, I already found him weird looking with his helmet on ever since he won that stage in the Tour :D

I thought I was seeing Il Cobra. A real one that is.

He just bothered me since the first day I saw him. I'm not a hater, not my style. Guilty of disliking him though :)

Don't be sad Veedeebee, we can't always agree.
