Yet the tour doesn't REALLY start for both until late in the second/third week. Being on peak now wouldn't exactly be beneficial, would it?

So, Andy being invisible as always while Frank takes it a bit easier too. I don't see the big deal here.

Correct. Frank Schleck was average as **** at the 2009 Tour de Suisse also.

great win by TASK :D . but damn , Rabobank is doing great. Did not expect 3 dutchies in the top 10, but its awesome.

but sad to hear that Soler was involved in a crash, his comeback seemed to have been very short

TDF 2010: Bordeaux - Pauillac ITT (52km)
41. Leipheimer +5'59"
162. Cunego +10'40"

GIRO 2009: Roma ITT (15.5km)
26. Leipheimer +53"
47. Cunego +1'11"

VUELTA 2008: Ciudad Real ITT (42.5km)
1. Leipheimer 50'57"
79. Cunego +3'52"

The final TT will be 32.1km. Looks like it could be another stage race messed up by the TT.

In his first go around with USPS, Lance didn't know his name, and would just point to him and say "Bottle.
"Haha, I thought it was because other riders carry him up the mountains.
I understand why so many here love to hate Levi - his riding stlye is similar to Indurain - hang on in the mountains and dominate the ITT's. In order to be "carried" up a mountian however, one has to be able to hang on to a wheel. Not too many riders today were able to do that today. And not too many riders have his palmarès.

Calm down, internet tough guy. I meant 2008.

You mean the one he had a horror crash on after displaying a good performance, probably riding into yellow? Yeah, I remember that one. Boy, was that average. ;)

Yup, that's the one. I didn't think he was all that impressive in that Tour de Suisse.

no more mountain stages?

Well... Not really. Tomorrow has an ascent towards the finish but I think the last 2k are flat. Not too long of an ascent too, I guess.

I think after that crash nobody expected him to. Still, he was fifth in the mountain time trial after that big shock. He obviously held back after his chances for the overall were done for and concentrated on keeping a good form for the Tour in which he was one of the best climbers.

I really don't see where everyone is getting these thoughts from. I have yet to find a saying from him claiming to be one of the top climbers nor does he ever claim to be one of the best stage riders out there. It's all fantasy journalism, if anything. Now, if any rider himself would proclaim that he's one of the best, I'd understand the amount of vapor that gets produced here on a constant basis, but as far as I know, Frank doesn't - and that just bothers me me up.
