lol where are the people saying he was looking better for the overall lol

Well I said he had a chance if he could limit his losses on the two climbing stages and keep the total deficit to Cunego around 1:30-2:00.

But he couldn't.

Leipheimer may have a shot at the same "sort" of win... but even with today he'll already be at 2:00. That's a lot to ask unless he gets some extra seconds before the ITT.

This stage obviously heavily overshadowed by what happened earlier.

the riders were wrecked. High pace, you attack to early and you pay dearly.

Zonc was steeper and the riders were much more tired going into it, but had far more attacks and the winning one stuck from about 35 mins from the end.

The kid is still only like 22 years old. He's also on a team that has spent close to zilch amount of preperation for GC ambitions over the last few years. He's got a lot to learn, but he'll be fine.

We didn't exactly have Contador and Anton today did we, though?

I think these riders did what they had to do.

it was the pace tho. Riders attacking would lose time here no doubt, zoncolan is different, it is so steep that it is hard to control, every man for himself sort of thing.

Leopard would have probably been too strong. Bit different to riding head-to-head on Zonc.

Hilarious. I will assume that Lance was telling him to go get a bottle from the team car or to give him a bottle.

Yes, it was so Levi would go get him bottles from the team car.

Note of the day, I'm becoming more and more certain on my view of F.Schleck as a climber. Too inconsistent, and simply not good enough in general. He'd best be fully supporting Andy for the Tour.
You mean support the guy that got dropped straight away today?

It's "only" a preparation race. Both of them aren't at full potential yet, so I figure he didn't want to go into the red too much.

We'll see how they go at the Tour, they're always slacking off prior to July at the slightest possibility.

i know he is only 22 but doesn't change the fact that some people here were hyping him to a possible win

They're going to suffer at the Tour then.

Leopard rode this mountain like a tour mountain, they will no doubt do similar at the Tour (this is what AC means by tour climbs being ridden harder), only they will have a capable leader at the helm.

yes they did but happy that it happened again:)

There is no disliking toward BMC here. Just people saying it's a weak team. And that's what it is. They do have a strong cobbled team, but it lacks winners though.
