There's still 3 guys within a minute of Wiggins. And remember his preparation has been far from optimal so there's no telling how long his form will last.

I wasn't expecting him to do this well, so who knows. He could definitely win this. Or not. :D

damn- with all this scramble in the GC - I honestly think the only immediate danger to Wiggins is Cobo, since he's the most aggressive one -I just cannot picture Nibali pulling 1:25 back tomorrow at all....

are we witnessing the making of the first British rider ever to win a GT??

Great win for Taaramae.

Anton, Scarponi, Nibali, Rodriguez. The big four. Good lord.

Crazy Vuelta.

Kessiakoff seemed to have ridden in his own pace from the start while Rodriguez and Nibali blew themselves up.. has Kessiakoff more in the tank for Angliru or will he lose more time again?

I would so like Wiggins or Froome to win.

But the thought of the British media totaly ignoring it and putting it down is painful. The idea that they will honour Cav towards the end of the year as one of Britains best sportsmen and not mention Wiggins, that in the future they might call this Tour of Spain race he wins as a Tour warmdown like they call the Giro a Tour warmup, it hurts.

Menchov looked like his Giro 09 form today. I expect him to show what he's capable of tomorrow, as there will be no groups - every rider for himself. He might have to sacrifice himself for Cobo tomorrow though.

Nibs needs a head start from the descent tomorrow too, he needs to distance Wiggo badly now after his epic failure today.

J-Rod, I can't believe I even took him seriously as a GC contender.

I wouldn't rule Nibali out just yet. He had his customary bad day, but the Angliru suits him and if Wiggins is a little bit weaker there he could easily lose lots of time. But in principle it's between Wiggins, Cobo and TGBM. Froome could win this if he wasn't working for Wiggins all the time.

I'm quite disappointed in Van den Broeck. I realize his form is not that good, but it's quite a contrast with Fränk Schleck's attitude last year.

I think if Wiggins wins they definitely won't ignore it. I mean, I would certainly hope not.

Don't let the media spoil you enjoyment. That's what they want.

All that will happen if Wiggins wins the Vuelta is that next July the British media will declare him the overwhelming favourite to win the Tour de France.

Blabla if you ask me Nibali is getting weaker day by day.

This was the case in the Giro as well. At the end he got really bad. But there he had a downhill where he made up 1 minute he lost on the previous climb. Now he has nothing to recuperate that loss with.

Yeah, Nibali is still Nibali, but he certainly hasn't shown anything this entire race to suggest he's just biding his time.
