no Barredo in the break? I thought he might go in the break as he seemed motivated to do something here.

Can someone post a full list of the break?

Taaramae, LLS, De La Fuente are the strongest in the break, you'd expect them to climb the best.

I don't even understand what Taaramäe is doing.. he said like 2 days ago that he will not try anything and will take it easy till the rest day. He tried really hard yesterday but his legs were dead after 1 hour. Yesterday he said in his blog that he will stay in the grupetto today and will see after the rest day what he will do next (maybe even abandon). So he is quite a mystery.. Don't expect him to climb very well tho today.

They struggled yesterday with the Ancares and dropped back quite a bit. The upside for them is that I think Katusha may just set the pace on the San Lorenzo to set things up for Rodriguez.

They had 4 riders left after two cat 1 climbs. Riders fresh enough to close that gap for Wiggins. That is pretty good.

The Dutch Mafia are live and well on the forum quite early. Starting to get a bit more confident about Bauke?

I will say that Bauke's potential to do really good here has significantly spiked my interest in the Vuelta. Last year I kinda gave the Vuelta a pass, but this year I'm all eyes and ears.

Lloyd to beat Leigh in the sprint then:rolleyes:

On a more serious note, 2 Katusha guys... mmm... interesting

Sanchez finished a long way back yesterday. Don't know whether he really cracked on the Ancares, or softpedaled there to have a go today.
Kruijswijk and Sanchez brought back the early break with Wiggins, Nibali et al. And were properly cooked (at least Kruijswijk says he was).

I still don't see him making the podium.

They seemed to go backwards quite quickly imo. Rabobank & Astana looked very strong imo.

Whoa, Sep is riding!

Very disappointing, that Scarponi fella. Does he have an excuse like Antón?

He did crash, came down quite heavily, seemed okay but maybe was not.

That's strange indeed. Taaramae did well in the stage that Martin won, but that form was apparently just for one day. Because of this result, I actually thought that he was saving for a stage win.

No I'd still be happy with just top 5. He has never done a top 10 in a GT prior (although he would have without l'aquila, but that's another discussion), so top 5 would already be awesome.

Hope you're not risking the loss of a victory in Lombardy by posting today. Good luck.

Either JRod or Moreno will go on the San Lorenzo. Which one though?

Neither. They should just have the team set a nasty tempo. Send Moreno/karpets off the front early on the Farrapona and then Rodriguez can let rip at 7km to go (maybe earlier).

this move is very good for rodriguez, kuschynski and vorganov are excellent to pull back after san lorenzo to help rodriguez out in the downhil and all the false flat km in the final climb.
