Strange, he was put at 20 secs when I checked it just minutes ago.

Perhaps the Spanish organiser found a way to relegate him from the intermediate?
How's that quote about malice and incompetence? Yeah.

Froome disqualified from intermediate for using jet propulsion flatulence assistance.

Any idea why Haussler would be going for that intermediate sprint before the finish?

He then managed to finish 16 seconds down at the end in 66th position.

What is the score in the Garmin vs Sky battle?

Including national championships, it's currently 28 to 27 wins in Sky's favour.

Without including nationals, Sky lead by 24 wins to 22.

The roadbook left it pretty clear, the riders should have taken at least a quick look at this... still, the organisers shouldn't have placed the finish line so close to a roundabout.

I don't know, it's sketchy. That's not exactly what it looked like on the road, since the right (=incorrect) way around the roundabout was closed off. If it had just been an alternative, though longer way around there wouldn't have been such problems.

In the picture it looks like right and left are almost equally good ways to the finish.

Probably Haro has limits to do that but in the end the roadbook is a bible and the riders who turn right fail themselves.

The only problem is that the infamous turn explode the group of Froome, Cobo and Wiggins.

Was a leopard and not Froome the 3rd in the intermediate sprint?

I think his point was that Froome is still listed as third in that sprint at the official site (if you go to the points category standings). There is an inconsistency between their GC results and their points classification results.

I think that's just because they are Spanish. I expect them to update it sometime tomorrow morning.:D

They gave that third place to Monfort apparently.

Spanish up to their usual tricks then, Anglirú it was all about blocking chasing riders with motorbikes, blocking team cars to mess up time checks on Cobo etc etc. Today it was.. whatever this is.

At least they have their story straight now: Monfort is officially listed as finishing third in the second intermediate sprint.

No, the right way to the finish is always marked with the two parallel red lines.

The big question is, why on earth was Haussler in the mix for the intermediate sprint? Has he signed for Geox for next year or what?

Don't forget all the pushes Cobo got, at least you would have heard about it if you listened to Harmon

Maybe he just wanted the 500€ or whatever it is in the Vuelta.
