Bookwalter may not be a bad bet a for the TT for BMC either. The TT is a bit lumpy which should suit the BMC riders like Evans, Pinotti and Bookwalter.

interesting indeed, would surely have oppose frank would need put time into alot of these on the climb to win.

Peraud seemed in good shape at paris nice, also wondering is le mevel fully recovered from his crash althou cant see him out doing Peraud.

No, imo Evans was good in Chieti finishing on 9th and then had the crash on mountain stage. After that it was just training ride to get the miles into the legs. Imo he took the TT easily as well. That's my opinion but I may be mistaken.

evans himself said he was in bad shape and lacked training km this winter. he was very disapointed

So who wins the first stage then? Bit different from a normal 180km flat stage being only 89.5km with just a 2.1km climb at 5.9% roughly half way through the stage. Last 2 years have seen Russell Downing and Geschke win, i guess most of the top sprinters are in Belgium at the moment. Geschke is here again so maybe he is down for a repeat. Project 1t4i might also fancy Gretsch's chances this afternoon in the 6km TT

I did fancy Peraud's chances earlier but not sure about him in the TT - 6km is a bit short for him i think so he might have to win the climb, or at least finish close to someone who cant TT. He only took 3 seconds off Frank Schleck in the TT last year although Schleck may have been in better form at that point having won the climb the previous day.

Team Type 1 have tweeted that there are 2 groups, with a gap of 40" between them. Front group paced by BMC, Sky and RNT, second group by TT1, Garmin and Columbia (er, unless this is a horrible, horrible reinvention, I assume they're meaning Coldeportes?)
