wonder who will chase this.
right now is vacansoleil because they failed big time to put a man here.

Vacansoleil not in a breakaway?! Usually they love the pointless breakaways!

Yes, but this certainly isn't a pointless break on this course and since it's 18 guys.
Maybe that's the reason they ain't in the break... it's not pointless.

Allthough I wonder if all De Gendt wins also came from pointless breaks Mr. Pedal Castro?

No, no, I realise this certainly isnt a pointless breakaway!

Don't get me wrong, Vacon are one of my favorite teams- They are in a lot of pointless breakaways though to be fair. As well as many where, as you have mentioned they get a win, Mr Kwibus

I Don't think this is a very pointless break. It's a large group and some of them might have a good chance of staying clear from the peloton today. Strange Vacance and Lotto both missed the break today. Good day for Lastras?

I know what your saying. Vacansoleil is a true breakaway team, allthough they did say they wanted to be less of a breakaway team this year and try to get more big results. Besides Westra no other rider on the team actually managed to get a result this way.

Imo they should stick to being an attacker team, besides riders like Westra and Poels. They can stay with the best when they are good.

I agree with you that most breaks are pointless indeed :D

They gained over 8 minutes now, at the 50km point.
Some of the teams in the peloton have to do something soon. All are waiting for Barracuda to react?

I predict Liquigas will start to chase when the roads become really hard.
None in the break and they learned from L'Aquila.
