good question. perhaps they think that if they dont drill it, someone will. so why not try to rip the legs of lightweight pocket rockets off? probably the plan backfires but i prefer that to the good ol "do not ride" of JV.

Thanks Fetisoff and karlboss - the narrow roads and steep finish make sense. Lots of really steep short pitches in Ryder's hometown (Victoria).
