Agreed, never heard of any of those in the break. NO chance of them staying away.

Amador(MOV) Montaguti (ALM), De Marchi (AND), De Negri (FAR), Kaisen (LTB), Maes (OPQ), Oliveira (RNT) and Barta (APP)

You haven't been paying attention if you never heard of these guys before since Kaisen and Amador have been in a breakaway a few times before.
Barta is an interesting rider in this break. Not sure in what form he is since he's been invisible so far.

Fair enough, I have noticed Kaisen in this Giro but I had never heard of him before. We should get some decent cyclists in the breakaways once the gaps on the GC get bigger.

He may be in good form but he is not a rider for such long climbs.

Kaisen almost never wins a race but is of invaluable worth to a team, he won a stage in tour of Turkey some years ago

Thanks. I don't know all the cyclists yet as I haven't been following cycling for that long.

The latest from the Radioshack Camp:

Now maybe Frank is so badly injured in this "clash" that he might withdraw from the giro according to Kim Andersen:

http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/cykling/article1761709.ece

And btw. I'm still disappointed in Saxobanks no-show in the break again today. Yes, this is not a stage where a breakaway is likely to hold on, and none of their riders are suited for the mountains, but as trevim says it's like they doesn't even care, also judging from the rider interviews in Danish television.

I think the saxo team is not really up for it right now. They are probably hoping for something from CAS in the tour, and Conta in the Vuelta ofc.

Thanks, at least I'll get to watch the sprint with English commentary then. I had to go to a meeting with 5k to go yesterday and only caught the Italian version after the fact.

A bit of excitement before one of those boring mountain stages I guess :D

Considering Chris Anker TT skills and the fact that Contador's points won't count I would say that is a risky bet.

Pozzovivo seems to be suffering in the rain?
Plenty of teammates on hand to help bring him back.

Hmm, actually I thought them being non-contenders would mean they'd get a longer leash and thus more of a chance to stay away... no?
