still rujano should finish this at least a minute ahead of number 2. like last year etna and this time no headwind I believe.

Fidolix said:If it´s gonna rain it will be a spectacular stage and considering the altitude and if it rains I go for Scarponi ftw.
The decent from Col De Joux on wet roads will distance Basso with a couple of minutes, Miss Schleck will spend all day tommorow complaining and explaining why Rasmussens beeper didnt work and was the reason he lost 10 minutes on the decent, while Scarponi and Rodriguez battle for the win.![]()

from south east. That is, almost from the back of the riders all day.burning said:Do you have any info about wind?
Thank you very much.SergeDeM said:Interviewer: Rigoberto what's up, how are you feeling this giro? (in spanish)
Rigo: Quite well, now comes a hard stage with a slightly particular climb, We'll take it slow. I think this will be an important day to try an finish up front or even try to go for the stage win. (in italian)
Iv: So we're doing this in italian? OK, will you be there at the alps? what are your goals for the giro?
RIgo: To make it to the very end as well as possible. The giro is very long and the last week is very hard. The stages will create huge differences but for now I'll try to be calm and take it day by day.
IV: Is there a specific stage that you think will suit you the most?
Rigo: Well, when you feel good you'll feel it. Here there are so many strong riders, Basso, Scarponi, we know they're very strong. You just have to always be there and the time will come.
IV: Listen, there's a great renassaince of Colombian cycling with so many talented youngsters, great climbers. How do you think you fit in this new Colombian batch? How does it make you feel? In any case you're one of the strongest as you've shown at the tour. Are you waiting to.. (couldn't get the last two words)
Rigo: I've already been here in Europe for 7 years in different teams. What you say is true, there are many young Colombians here in Europe, there's a team and there will be more soon enough plus those who are in Colombia.
IV: You have Henao in your team, are you friends? Do you give him advice or do you see him as a possible rival?
Rigo: Can't be rivals, he's my friend and we're on the same team! I think he'll be of great help for the mountain stages.
IV: Good luck. bye.

I'm probably lucky I've only just read it since I believe he has been editing it non stop since he posted it, but right now it's real proper stage opening post!
I'm allready looking forward to tomorrow. There will be some dissapointments tomorrow from GC man.
search said:yeah, but when he won Fleche Wallone three days later it was like 5°C or something
vcampbell said:I think there are many rider who have to attack or will anyway. Maybe not all of them a real GC contender, but who knows. Rujano, maybe Pozzovivo, the Skys, Frank, Gadret, the Rabos, De Gendt, Lagutin, Larsson.
I think the main question will be, that is there a team which want to ride a a hard pace to explode Liquigas. They are the strongest, but if a team will be able to drop all the Liquigas riders except Szmyd and Basso, then there will be a chance to a successful attack.
It's a shame a Grizzly didn't materialize to liven up the proceedings last nightMellow Velo said:This.
Normally, the sort of finish reserved for the end of the first week.
Think a lot of folks are going to be disappointed.
Could be the Giro's answer to Big Bore Lake....
The worst thing is, apparently they'll take him to the Tour as well. Three second rate GC guys and a second rate sprinter, good luck with that.TourOfSardinia said:
