Not really. People underrate the Tour guys against the pure climbers of the Giro. Garmin riders come up with goals and they base their season around them, and either meet them or in most cases excel.

Hesjadel focusing on the Giro and doing well here shouldn't be much of a surprise. He's a good rider.

The problem is that the other riders are overrated.

Of course Hesjedal is a good rider, and I even tipped him to do well here! Just not this well. He really only has one solid GT GC result before this.
