How would people rank the descending abilities of the first six over the climb? Does any of them stand out far enough that you'd expect him to gain or lose time? (I don't know exactly how far back Uran and Scarponi were by the summit. Ouch, Scarponi looks to be cramping.)

yes, let's hope they don't fully make it so the stelvio stage doesn't turn into another gavia stage which was a bit of a let down

It wont because Gavia stage was nowhere near as hard. Also lots of people will want to win on the highest gt finish ever.

Gap not as big as I thought.

"Awesome descender" Scarponi still can't catch "awful" Uran??

He caught him pretty quickly before he started cramping up.

I'm just saying that besides Basso (Pre-Fuentes), only Hesjadel and Rodriguez have really done anything at the Tour.

I would always bet on TDF Specialists to ride higher up in the Giro because, quite frankly...

Scarponi and post-Fuentes Basso aren't really that impressive.

The same scarponi and Basso who were too much for "tour rider" evans two years ago?

Stick a fork in him, Scarponi is done!

he would actually enjoy a fork or a needle sticked to his leg at the moment as it would take care of his cramp :p
