Pinotti almost takes first place, but such a nuisance can't let ES distract themselves from their boring conversation.

I wonder if they'll figure out by the end, that it takes about 40 seconds from the last bend to the finish line.

So Cavendish is a great prologue rider?? Will be lucky to be in the Top 40.
This isn't a prologue though. It's 700 meters too long to be officially labelled as one ;)

Could have something to do with the fact that Hushovd has won prologues in almost every major stage race. He might not be in great form, but never underestimate him on a technical 8 km prologue.

It is too long for sprinters, Hushovd has won two prologues that I know of. Their length/duration was 7.1km/8:17 and 4.6km/5:28.

8.7km is more like the 8.9km Tdf10 prologue were Cancellara (10:00) and Martin were on top.
Too long for sprinters in my mind.

Different goals i suppose.

Couldn't imagine what other goals he would have. Help Piti in the Tour? Vuelta leader if Cobo continues his indefinite hyatus

He's only missed one Giro since '07

a pox on universal sports! not because of bob rolll...because since the pair of brain-dead four year olds redesigned the universal sports website, i and legions of other subscribers to the spring package ($40 us) including THE giro - cannot view our libraries OR any website videos...or the giro.

thank goodness for eurosport!

+1. Just because it bears re-posting.

Wonder if Hushovd has trained at all this season. It's incredible that a guy of his talent can be beaten by the likes of his countryman Alexander Kristoff on a time trial...
