Anyone had sound when Kreuziger was doing interview? What was he saying? Maybe someone watching Italian tv?

He said he was happy but it was only 8km of 3,000+ so let's see what happens when we get to the mountains etc.

Just for fun: Norwegian commentators think stage 10 might suit Hushovd and compare it to stage 1 of TdF11:

TdF11-stage1: 2.2km of 4.7%, last km 5%, total climb 102 hm
Giro12-stage10: 4km of 4,75%, last km 8,5%, total climb 243hm

In reality the Giro-stage has two climbs with a short downhill between, either one (1.6km of 9% - 143 hm , 1.2k of 8.3% - 100hm ) is more difficult than the TdF one.
Plus the first climb has parts up to 15% and the second one have a pavé-section.

Also Hushovd is clearly heavier at the moment than he usually is at TDF.

Nice, maybe he can pull a Jelle an suprise in the GC? :)
Ok probably not, horrible time

Jelle wasn't that great on GC - 20th. Polka dot and mountain stage wins were where he surprised. He was 10 minutes behind Cadel after the first 2 weeks. Pretty sure he spent a lot energy then helping Gilbert and/or VDB2. He'll be worth looking out for in 2013, by which time Dennis might have matured somewhat as well.

Were the Norwegian commentators actually serious about it? :p

How will Purito and Gasparotto beat Thor!

Am I alone in not having seen a single split time thus far?

Is there one?

There is. But I was just wondering why the hell to they have one if they don't bother showing the split times. Just so f-k stupid. But it's the giro, so I guess it's understandable...
