The route is awesome in my opinion at closer inspection so many uphill finishes and tough classic style stages, first 6 stages are easy but after that...god it will be tough

I was baffled when Kelly said the course is not so hard this year. I studied the stages again yesterday and it looks damn hard to me.

Yep.

13 is 2 mountains at the end. 14 is just 1 ok. and 17 19 and 20 are all as hard as Gardeccia. Last year Grossglockner was a mere mtf. ZOncolan was eventually just 1 mtf. Finnersere was 1 hard mountain after 200k of flat. Montevergine and Macanuga were just sprints up eaasy mountains. Etna was 2 climbs but far from eachother. ONly Gardeccia was a true climbing stage

On top of that, the the hills in the hills in the first week, since there is little else, might be contested.

The weather will change quicker than the soul of the Ukrainian people. Hence it is more fleeting, more evanescent and less evocative.

Brilliant.

this year mountain stages are harder, but there are more pan flat stages.
Overall the difficulty is the same. I prefer this route though.
edit: 1000th post! :D

My ppd count just dipped under 18 for the first time ever.

And then the Giro had to start.

Bobridge doesn't look good at all. Certainly doesn't look like he's the fastest cyclist of all time over 4k...

Bobridge is not attacking the corners very well, lets see what he can do the last ks.

Looks like he's never seen the route before. Very cautious into the bends..

What did he say?

He feels confident, the course suits him. He knows that this is his biggest race of his life so far.
Also he said longterm that he wants to finish the whole Giro

Think you might mean 14 and 15, not 13 and 14. 14 is high and slow - 1200m in 20km, then 1500m in 25km. If the more attacking climbers race 15 right, some of the TT guys might suffer a bit there.
