Descender said:Did they just say in the German Eurosport that the mayor of Herning just died of a heart attack?? EDIT: Apparently it's the mayor of Horsens, and it's true...
Wow, news just came in that the mayor of Horsens, where the stage tomorrow takes place, was hit by a heart attack today and has passed away. Might affect the stage tomorrow.
The tragedy happened while he was participating in a public giro-celebration cycling race called "Giroen i Horsens".

Did they just say in the German Eurosport that the mayor of Herning just died of a heart attack??
It was painful to see Farrar taking Nibali out of contention in last year's Vuelta.barn yard said:farrar certainly doesnt have the respect in the sprint like he used to, he got pushed around by every single person he got near in the last 3km

Not quick enough on the final straight, meaning Cav got boxed on both sides and had to check his pedelling to get out in to clean air.
Still think Thomas will do a fine job most of the time, but he's a 3rd man, 1km to 400m rider.

Libertine Seguros said:I agree, but that's also Eisel's job, who of course has that long term rapport with Cavendish. Who would you say Sky ought to have as the last man, either from their 9 in the race, or from their whole squad - Boasson Hagen? Appollonio? Swift?
I'm not being facetious here, this is a genuine question, because I agree with you that Thomas is more a third man, but feel that Eisel already does that job to a great extent.

Might somebody be so kind and tell me what happened to Guardini?
Was he involved in the crash?
The author of that article has two eyes like the rest of us. I'd wait to hear from the riders involved to pass judgment.cineteq said:This hopefully will settle the score:
"Garmin-Barracuda and Orica led the field into the final, right-hand corner at 500 meters to go. A few wheels deep in the bunch, Rabobank’s Theo Bos and Mark Renshaw touched wheels, setting off a crash that took down Katusha’s Alexander Kristoff and split the race."
