Harmon just said that points were more heavily awarded for flat stages. I thought that wasn't the case in the Giro.

Perhaps I've got it wrong (wouldn't be the first time)..

Thats really a chock. Jan Trøjborg, mayer of Horsens, was (bizarre not to write 'is') a very highly profiled polititician in Denmark, and a former minister.

The tragedy happened while he was participating in a public giro-celebration cycling race called "Giroen i Horsens", a race of which I would have participated in, if it wasn't for a right knee injury.

Now Horsens can grieve of both 1 year of WW's death (marked with a 1 minute silence before start) and their mayor tomorrow. This is really sad :(

Unless they've changed it in the last week, all stages pay the same number of points. It's just that this year a sprinter has more of a chance of winning it than the last couple of years.
