It should not be necessary to say that is not acceptable to wish a rider and/or team death, nor to laugh at crashed and injured riders. A warning has been given and any subsequent such postings will entail a suspension.

Susan

Ryo has previously received a temporary suspension for precisely this behavior: celebrating when someone crashes. I doubt a mere warning is going to have much of an effect on him now.

Its great at least he could stand on his own feet.
Nice to see his determination to finish the race.
But im not sure if he can continue even with the rest stage:(

Ok, so now we have some confusion. On Universal, Harmon received a text from Och that Phinney did not cross the line and he's out.

However, Phinney looks to be ok getting out of the ambulance. He looks as though he could continue.

thats good news:) the official statement from BMC is the more accurate source.

How could I know.
But I saw people continueing in far worse conditions.

He will see tomorrow what it feels like so has time to decide for the ttt. At lease he will spend the rest day in pink it seems.

As I said - I hope it's like Mosquera's in '09. That was the last day before a rest day transfer to the race's homeland too; he couldn't cross under his own steam, two teammates pushed him over the line. His ankle was up to twice normal size, but wasn't broken, just a severe sprain that had caused it to balloon. After the rest day he could ride on. Even if Taylor gets dropped in the TTT or whatever or the team have to almost stop to keep him in it, he does deserve the chance to defend the jersey.

Phinney iwth lots of ice and tape on the ankle, but getting the pink jersey. Rasmussen might be a serious contender for pink on wednesday.

The ankle can still be broken even if he walks on it, I broke mine a few months ago and walked on it for three days thinking I had only twisted it.
