Rabbotini deserved the win, why do they wait till the last 3 km's to attack?

Where's Contador when you need him to stir up the bunch a bit

Nice to see the Board judgement of Tiralongo as new leader based on 1 day and the usual anti Kreutziger prejudices came in so well.

It wasn't a negative prediction on my part just thought Tiralongo looked good.

unfortunately that is GT racing in the modern era
Well, it's boring and stupid. Makes sense for Purito, Hesjedal and Basso, but how do the others expect to win this?

Now we wait - what's gonna come first, stage results up on the gazzetta site, or Rujano finish the stage

Rabottini! Amazing. It was like that moment when you're out on a long ride, you think fatigue is starting to get to you, and then you look behind and see a mountain bike. The legs feel fresher, the mind stops whining and you just just go.
Haha!

Chapeau to the mechanic who threw Rabottini back on his bike after he crashed! :D

And to Purito for a strong attack, but looking at the overhead shot the win wasn't that much of a gift. Just a fantastic ride by Rabottini.

Basso looks really solid. Think we could see a super stage by Basso next week.

ya think basso looks the strongest right now. today the favorites pretty much pulled a 3k sprint and he managed to follow scarponi easily.

Liguigas really played into the hands of Purito, they simply didnt push hard/early enough to get the kick out of the little cigar.

I just can't understand Liquigas tactics anymore, kill all your riders. Well done Katusha, also I'm really happy Rabottini won, kinda reminded me of Rasmussen. Also Henao was great.

purito making gifts here, didn't expect that kind of improvement....

can't believe i'd say this but it worthed watching this stage for the last 2 kms.it was superb riding there.the rest was a complete sham, terrible riding.
glad for henao.totally expected from rujano and pozzovivo.

purito did the finale 7,8 km@7,8% in 22:13 at a speed of 21.07 km/h.

he's looking great but the giro is still long.anyway this might be a giro with even less high level than back in 2010.
