Could well abandon before the final climb today. That's what's happened in the past when his morale is low; he'll have a go, it'll fail, he'll get off.

I'm starting to think that Ryder could actually do very very well here. I won't quite go as far as saying that he can win this Giro just yet, but podium is certainly within his sight now. I mean he should put at least a couple of minutes into almost every other contender in the time-trial.

I'm starting to have more and more respect for him as this Giro progresses. This World Champion's jersey is certainly having an effect on him, and he's doing great to honor it.
