You care about Henao

They care about Cav

Just because you have conflicting interests doesnt make them idiots.

I personally don't see how working in a sprint train is supposed to build a young stage racer's confidence. Unless its in building his confidence in working a sprint train. If anything it lessens his ability to ride at his best in the stages that suit and thus puts a dent in his confidence when he doesn't meet his own expectations.

From that photo it looks more like Ferrari he's looking at than Guardini

Good point. It was just a glance across to see if he still got second.

He actually starts shaking his fist before he looks over at anyone, and does so afterwards. It's clearly anger at himself.

It's almost as if we've created one of these fake internet controversies that Cav hates, just to annoy Cav!

He lost the stage, guys, lets leave him alone.

Cav doesn't mind complimenting Goss or Greipel or Bos if they beat him in a sprint, because he knows he's better than them. It's much harder to praise a guy who might actually be faster than you.

From the horse's mouth
Mark Cavendish ‏@MarkCavendish
Pretty angry to be beaten when my team set me up like today. I was lazy & left the sprint 50m too late. @andreaguardini was FAST! Congrats.

any statement that it was directed against guardini, hence the majority of post of that perspective.?

that make no sense, unless cavendish concluded wrong about who was where...

likely the number 3 guy there is behind him in the final, - that have touch his backwheel or something down that alley.-

Cav is a tosser, with a huge temper, _ and so what, giro its a show for the viewers. and we are not all like each-other... manners is a city in russia ;)

Don't be stupid. He was angry with Guardini (for losing) and said so on the interview after the stage. A glance....how ridiculous.

Seems nothing directed to Guardini. As I thought.

Yea that's what he said officially to the english speaking world having calmed down, though those were not his words on RAI right after the race. ;)

Dude the guy was venting out on Guardini for beating him. End of discussion. The footage is clear on that. See whatever you want though.

Do you read his twits ? If he was venting on Guardini he would gave him bollocking on twitter as well. I don't see what the drama is about. Obviously after the race you will be angry if you don't win when favourite and I can see nothing he pointed he had problems with Guardini. If he said that on RAI then he stupid, any sources ?

Personally I'm pretty sure it was like this:
-Guardini beats Cav
-Cav gets angry at Guardini, thinks Guardini has done something wrong
-Cav watches replay, realizes Guardini did nothing wrong
-Cav congratulates Guardini for beating him fair and square
...
-Cav wonders what all the drama is about

"Why Mark, were you angry with Guardini?"

Reponse: "Because I hate losing."

Now that's all well and good, however, his gesture at the line can only be considered poor class, since Guardini did a correct sprint. You just don't do that and I've never seen a sprinter of his caliber (or any caliber for that matter) get beat fair and square, and then become hystrionic like a spoiled brat.

It's like, "I lose" you deserve a thrashing! Just weak. Or put differently it's like it was Guardini's "fault" for winning.

I'm watching this on HD.

That said, I don't think he was angry because Guardini supposedly did something wrong, but just frustrated he got his *** kicked again.

If you make a sock-puppet at least do it correctly. ;)

Now you're just an unoriginal tool, feel sorry for you.

Ps: I was defending Cav in that post. ;)

Dennis Vanendert has finished 11th & 10th in the past two flat stages. What type of rider is he exactly?

Hills suit him better, but he's still young and a neo pro. Not sure what you were expecting, he's no Sagan.

Oh yeah for sure. Juraj Sagan, the other Indurain, Seb Chavanel, Martin Velits, the list goes on. Just saying that they might have been expecting the same style of rider.

Yet the Kreder's this year are trying to prove this lot wrong.

And there are some other more famous brothers who do likewise....
