You guys could make millions with this talent. To be able to understand exactly what a gesture means from a poor stream with absolute certainty is a rare thing.

I didn't watch on a 'poor stream' and he certainly looked like he was angry at Guardini, given his flailing of arms and shouting something whilst looking across happened right as he was rolling by him.

Whether it just looked that way is another matter.

Sorry to those who have HD. I still think that people are jumping to the conclusions they want to see.

Good to see Guradini's suffering and determination get rewarded. Now he can go home with a clear conscience. :p

I imagine Cavendish is upset at least partly because his suffering may not be awarded with a points jersey.

Is Cav whining because Sky did a 2 man ledout for the last 1km and he thinks everybody was using their train? Isn't that always the case?

Netapp was doing the last 2-3km on the front, Cav and Sky benefited from that. Sky finally got around them with just 3 guys and about 1.5km to go. Then they lead him to the perfect 300m mark second wheel. No excuse Cav except you just aren't that fast when the train isn't perfect, or guy in front of you explodes and you go around them.

Guardini from 4 wheels back off the front just smoked it with the wattage. Ferrari couldn't even get around Cav's wheel having the luxury of the draft even.

Guradini really killed it the last 250m. Good for him.

I guess Guardini targeted that stage specificially because his best result was 10th and he didnt participated in any sprint besides that

Well he's just received the points jersey, though he still doesn't look happy!

no1 is saying cav is past it, but in pure speed and acceleration it has been pretty much accepted by many that guardini was already better. guardini just happens to be worse in everything else lol

You think it is widely accepted that Guardini has better acceleration than Cav? Nonsense.

However what is for certain is that Guardini was the strongest sprinter at the finish today .

Guardine stated after finish, that the saxo bank train was just perfect, when they took the scene

could be that cav is 8itching about, that his train couldnt keep the front pace. - but again , come on, he had optimal position to take it and got beaten square and fair.

I can see where they're coming from, since he seemed to be making gestures at Guardini and he has a bit of a poor track record of putting the blame on others at times.

Yeah, Guardini peaked for this stage. Otherwise Cav would never have beaten him!

Jumping to conclusions? When it was not pat in the back for Guardini from the maglia rossa and world champion?

Saxo too early again today? Oh well at least they practise it like Riis said they would at the start of the year.

Why does Saxo do this early train thing? Have seen that several times now.
Is it because they are not strong enough to move up during the real leadout, and at least at 3km they can at least show the team-colours for a minute or two?

I dunno about that. How could anyone make that call without seeing Guardini beat Cav straight like today?

Or turned towards the stage finish and shouted something in frustration. You can't know.

Maybe he took after those Russian chess players from Simpsons (S9, E24). You know, the one that throws the board angrily and yells in Russian "Good game, would you like to play another one"

Yes colnago, and yep your right that NetAPp was a big anger point :D

Actually I think Farnese was more accepted because of guardini, pozzato and gatto.

Wow, I'm still surprised over colnago though. I understand that big anger was A&S not getting invited, but colnago is at least no worse or exciting than A&S, so I don't understand the *****ing
